Charge Nurse (RGN / RMN) – Dayshift or Nightshift
Lammermuir House Care Home, Dunbar
Set in the beautiful coastal town of Dunbar, Lammermuir House Care Home offers a unique working environment with stunning sea views across the Firth of Forth. Our modern, purpose built home supports up to 48 residents with nursing needs, delivering high quality care in a calm, supportive and well run setting.
We are now looking for confident and compassionate Charge Nurses to join our team on both day and night shifts. This is a key leadership role within the home, ideal for a nurse who enjoys taking ownership, guiding a team and delivering consistently high standards of care.
What We Offer
£24.00 per hour
Contracted 40 hours per week, 1 supernumary shift.
Dayshift and nightshift options
Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
Onsite parking
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
The Role
As a Charge Nurse, you will take responsibility for leading your shift, ensuring care is delivered safely, effectively and in line with best practice. You will act as the clinical lead on duty, supporting decision making, overseeing care delivery and ensuring residents receive the attention and support they need.
You will carry out assessments, review and update care plans, administer medication and respond to changes in residents’ conditions with confidence and professionalism. Clear documentation and communication will be central to your role, ensuring continuity of care across the team.
Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you will lead and support your team, providing direction, guidance and reassurance. You will help create a positive, well organised environment where staff feel supported and residents feel safe, respected and valued.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Experience working in a nursing or care home environment is desirable
- Confidence in leading a team and managing a shift
- Strong clinical skills and sound judgement
- Clear communication and a calm, professional approach
- A genuine commitment to delivering high quality, person centred care
