Activities Assistant Contract
- • £12.99 per hour
- • 16.5 to 30 hours per week available
- • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- • One weekend per month required
- • Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
- • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

As an Activities Assistant, you will help plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that promotes wellbeing, social interaction and enjoyment. From arts and crafts, games and group activities to outings, celebrations and one to one sessions, you will play an important role in helping residents lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
This is a role that suits someone creative, enthusiastic and confident building relationships with people from all walks of life. You will bring ideas, energy and encouragement while ensuring activities are inclusive, engaging and tailored to individual interests and abilities.
What Matters Most
- A warm, friendly and engaging personality
- Confidence communicating with older people and their families
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for delivering meaningful activities
- Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is beneficial
- Experience or an interest in arts and crafts, drama, music or community activities would be welcomed
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
